Does the agency allow for WALK-INS?

No, all new applicants need to follow the standard application procedure by applying via the website. We do not see walk-ins. Meetings are strictly by appointment only.

Is there a joining fee?

No, we do not charge adults any joining fees.

Do I need to apply with professional images?

Definitely not, we request all applicants apply with natural / un-edited images. These images can be taken with your cellphone in natural lighting. Ask a friend or family member to help take the images for you.

What is the dress code for the images?

Please make sure to wear something neat / casual and trendy. No hats, sunglasses, glasses or large earrings. We need to see you as natural as possible. Please see Step 3 in the application for images to replicate

Can I apply on behalf of someone else?

Unfortunately not, applicants need to apply on their own behalf. Unless you are under the age of 18, then you will need to make sure a parent or legal guardian has applied for you or given their consent.

Should I wear make-up in my submission images?

No, we ask all applicants to wear no makeup in their submission images. We want to see you in your most natural way.

Can I join if I have no experience?

Of course, we are always on the lookout for new fresh faces to train and get ready for the modelling industry. Everyone has to start somewhere.

How long will it take to hear back after I have submitted my application?

Once submitted you will hear back from a relevant booker in 1- 3 working days. If you do not hear back please follow up by emailing scout@topcomodels.co.za

I tried to submit via the website but I am struggling, is there another way to apply?

Yes, you can also submit suitable images, your information and measurements via email to scout@topcomodels.co.za please make sure each image attached is no larger than 1MB each. We only need you to send 4 images of yourself (please follow the image reference board as displayed in Step 3 of the application form on the website)

Is modelling something I need to do full time?

It depends on the model, everyone’s modelling career is different. If you currently have a full time job or are studying we encourage you to apply anyway. We have dedicated bookers who are experienced in managing the busiest calendars. We represent models who have full time careers, part time jobs, students (medical, art, commerce etc.) as well as models who have full time modelling careers.

Do you need to be tall to model?

There are certain clients that have height requirements. Mostly runway. Topco Models represent an array of models including petite models. We are diverse, it’s what makes us different.

Do you represent curvy/plus size models? I don’t see a division on your website.

YES! OFCOURSE!! To answer your question about not having a separate division for our curvy models. Why would we separate models by size? Curves are beautiful and need to be embraced. We encourage models to be at their natural body shape and size.
